Alcoholism

 

  1. While there appears to be a familial tendency to alcoholism, there is no consensus as to whether this is mainly due to genetic variation in alcohol metabolism or whether there are additional genetic predisposing factors.
  2. There is currently no genetic test to determine predisposition to alcoholism.
