Biotechnology Australia

 

Biotechnology Australia is the Australian Government body responsible for coordinating all non-regulatory biotechnology issues. Its Communications and Engagement Program exists to provide factual and balanced information to the public to enable them to make more informed choices about applications of biotechnology.

 

Biotechnology Australia is an agency comprising five Australian Government departments:

  1. Department of Health and Ageing;
  2. Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources;
  3. Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry;
  4. Department of the Environment and Water Resources; and
  5. Department of Education, Science and Training.
